Important notice to all customers: CARBON MONOXIDE
New law effective 3/31/06 requires all homes to have CO detectors installed.
Carbon Monoxide is colorless, odorless and TOXIC. CO is produced when any fuel (ie:oil, natural gas, propane or gasoline) is burned and cannot get out of the building properly and is pushed back into the structure. The appliance continues to burn and consume the remaining oxygen in the space. As the oxygen level drops, Carbon Monoxide is what is left. Faulty appliances or improper venting of those appliances can cause CO exposure.

1. INSTALL DETECTORS OUTSIDE SLEEPING AREAS AND
NEAR LOCATION OF GAS EQUIP.
2. HAVE HEATING EQUIPMENT CLEANED OUT EACH YEAR
3. HAVE CHIMNEY INSPECTED EVERY FIVE YEARS
4. CHECK VENT TERMINALS EVERY SPRING (animal nests)
5. CHECK VENT TERMINALS AFTER EVERY SNOWSTORM
6. REPLACE DETECTOR BATTERIES EVERY 6 MONTHS
(set a date, such as daylight savings time.)
